Mine is a fan oven, came with the house I'm renting. It scorches things on the outside and leaves them uncooked on the inside. And it's always on 75 because even that is still too hot. Absolutely useless.GC March Wk1 £28.72/£30 Wk2 £28.4/£29

Sounds like your thermostat's gone Mellika. Can you have a word with your landlord and get it checked? After all you're paying to rent the house and included facilities and expect a basic thing like a cooker to work.0 -
We have the ancient gas hob and large Tricity electric built in oven and grill that were already here when Mr LW first bought the bungalow in 1990. The oven part isn't very easy to use (for me) as it's set high up, and I'm only 5'2" and have arthritic shoulders and arms.
We also have an AEG combined microwave/grill/convection oven which I use a lot, and wouldn't be without for all the tea in China. That must be about 3 years old now; we bought it when the old microwave died.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I have had nothing but nightmares with cookers. I had a Electrolux cooker that came brand new with the house. I had to have 3 elements. The next cooker that i had was a Beko which i had to have 2 elements in before it blew up big style with a flash of light and bang. All of this has happened in the space of 5 years:eek:
I now have a Smeg cooker on order which i hope will be better.0 -
Maybe some would say this isn't relevant to the discussion but we have had a Grand Remoska in the household for approx 10 days now and haven't used our Belling double oven since! 5 person household. Massive saving on electric as well.Call me Carmine....
