Give Up Gas, Go Electric?

It seems the way to go if gas continues to be linked to the oil price, because electricity isn't.
Mind you if you did make the switch over with all your heating and cooking and all the costs that that entails and then some blighter cuts the connection between gas and oil prices, be sure you have an electric chair on stanby and just sit back relax and switch on

Not directly maybe but there are a fair number of gas fired power stations in the UK.
