When does the agreement begin?

When applying for a new 0% card, when does the agreement actually begin?

Is it when they receive the signed form back from myself? or when you actually apply?

I was just wondering if i could hold back the signed agreement for a couple of weeks,if things were progressing a bit too quickly if that makes sense?

The consensus seems to be to apply for a new card 6 weeks before your present card runs out,but if the new card company is really quick in turning the application around, could you slow it down a bit?

Or do people just get the new card asap, and possibly loose a month off their current 0% offer.

Any thoughts?

Nothing to stop you holding it back - but the amount of interest free you get may well reduce as the 0% may run from the time you applied.

    Probably not worth the risk.
