My mum has PPI on two credit cards which she didnt realise she had signed up for (she never reads the small print!). Can she simply ring them and ask to cancel it or will she have to fight to have it cancelled?

    Hi Teerah,

Its easy to cancel on credit cards (usually!) - its just trying to cancel it on loans that can be very difficult.

    Good luck

I cancelled mine on my credit card recently, they made it difficult but you have every right to cancel if you want to.

    Hi all,

Am just dipping my toe into this subject.. Debts are mounting out of control and would like to see if this is suitable for me to lower my monthly repayments..

Would anyone mind pm'ing a copy of the letters they have sent.. no good at this sort of thing.. hence the debt!

Am paying PPI on 2 CC's (which I felt forced into taking, despite saying I didn't want it) and 2 loans (had one for approx 1 year and the other for over 2 years)

    TIA

**just noticed this is quite an old thread.. found it via a link!..
  • Hi I have been employed when I took out my loan with the associates. As well as charging me an extortinate interest fee on my loan, they added £1000 to my PPI, can I claim back that fee even if I have paid but not claimed? I believe I was missold this as I was young and naive and wasn't explained it clearly. Do I have a right? Please help.
    Thanks.x
