Gas OR Electric, what's it gunna be baby?

It seems to me that competition between these two is non existant. Surely if I dumped gas and the gas insurance cover contract that I am on I would save £225 per year straight away. Also how much more expensive is gas than electric? quite a lot I suspect, but who out there is letting us know?

    Electricity costs around four times more than Gas per Kilowatt hour, on a standard tariff.
