Increasing Credit Limit

Apologies if this has been discussed before.

But what is the best way of getting your credit limit increased? I have an income of 32k + and Mint gave me a miserbale £1800 when I signed up. I want to increase this to do more BTs.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Mint always seem to keep something in reserve when it comes to granting higher credit limits.

When you call to activate your card simply ask them to raise your credit limit in order to "facilitate" a balance tranfer.

They gave me £1750 then £2000 then up again to £4000 all in the first month.

What is the best way to get the limit increased? Can you just call customer services and request it, or is it best to say 'I have this balance transfer which will go beyond my current limit - are you going to increase it'? Realistically, how much would they increase it by?

When I first applied to MINT they gave me £2200. I rang customer services, asked for an increase, they asked to see banks statements to show income, and then increased it to £5000.
