Casa Pepe is set in a secluded and tranquil spot in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, where you can enjoy skiing during the winter months, but is also just a few minutes drive from the fantastic beaches and bustling resorts of Fuengirola and Marbella.

Inside, it is furnished to a high standard, with large sofas in the lounge and a spacious dining area, plus air-conditioning and a full entertainment system. Outside, there is a large patio, terrace and floodlit pool with sun loungers where guests can relax and soak up the sun and fabulous views.

Set 400 metres above sea level, the villa has breathtaking views of the surrounding area and Mediterranean Sea, and also the nearby town of Mijas; one of the most beautiful white villages in Spain. On a clear day you can see all the way to Africa!

There are three bedrooms, one of which has an en suite. The American-style kitchen includes an oven, grill, fridge/freezer and microwave and there is a washing machine and dishwasher, so you really can relax!

The villa provides a great base to explore the Costa del Sol and guests can take day trips to Granada, Seville, C!rdoba or Ronda. Other popular excursions are shopping in Gibraltar and a day trip to Tangier in Morocco, which whisks you across the Straits of Gibraltar by high-speed catamaran!

Marbella, which is 20 minutes by car, is often referred to as the Spanish St Tropez, with its stylish bars and bistros. Meanwhile, Fuengirola, only a 15-minute drive away, is a bustling resort, with tapas bars, restaurants, chic boutiques and fabulous beaches.

I agree and think the answer is Ronda; there seem to be Ferias all over though so there could be one in Granada or Salamanca
  • I've found this info:

    September
The first week of September is the Feria Goyesca de Pedro Romero in Ronda where all the townsfolk and the matadors at the weekend bullfight are dressed in typical 18th century costumes. Catalunya celebrates Cava week, a festival dedicated to the fine Catalan version of champagne. Jerez de la Frontera has its annual Fiestas de Otoño, a three week party involving sherry, horses and flamenco. In Sueca, Valencia there is a Fiesta del Arroz which is basically a paella festival.
In Logroño, the centre of the Rioja wine region it's the Fiesta de San Mateo which is a grape harvest festival. Barcelona celebrates Festes de la Merce, a huge fiesta with processions, fireworks and dance performances.

    NOW IN COMPING SEMI-RETIREMENT! :D
