Purchase not appearing on Credit Card

Hi

I'm a newby, so please take it easy on me ;)

I made a purchase on my Credit Card a couple of months ago. I've since received two statements and the purchase hasn't appeared on either of them. Does anyone know where I stand? Is there a 'legal' time period that the purchase has to appear on my statement before?

Thanks in advance

Steve

    Yes, it is 6 years.
  • That is correct although some people will no doubt come on here spouting various 'rules' that the transaction had to be debited within a certain timescale.
At the moment consider it an interest free loan - but beware that you still owe the money.

Should you close off this card it will be reopened should the transaction appear.

    Agree with jonesMUFCforever

    - why not contact the retailer you made the purchase from, they might, just might be very appreciative, and you'll have something else off your mind.

You never made the purchase from Netto Grimsby perchance?

Nice one but I don't think Netto accept credit cards.:rotfl:

Appriciate the 'proper answers'! Not just what somebody 'thinks' or 'feels' is how it works.

I'll take the interest free loan for now (and a few more pennies interest in my savings account). If it hasn't turned up in 6 years time, I'll spend it on something else!!! Thanks guys!!!

Years ago, I bought a leather jacket on my credit card in Turkey and it was 9 MONTHS before it appeared on my statement.
