Yes, it'll work fine on any TV. The Wii uses its own sensor bar that you stick to the top of the TV so is completely independent.0

lovely thank you now just need to look for the best deal which seems to be a job initself0

best check the TV manual as a lot of rear projection units can get damaged by fixed images such as score screens etcclick here to achieve nothing!0

In principle yes but this only really happens if the same static image is on the screen for a long time, by which I mean many hours or days at a time (Remember the old Johnny Castaway screen saver for Windows? The horizon used to burn a line on the CRT when people (particularly in offices) left it on overnight every night and over the weekend). When playing a Wii the images are very dynamic so I don't think this will be a problem.
I am currently using my Wii through a CRT TV with no problems.
Supply of the Wii is good now so you'll have no problem getting one for the recommended £179.99. Just look out for good deals on bundles to try and get some extra's for cheap.0 -
@trcooke
This isn't a crt the OP is talking about
The problem with projection units is over heating of the lamps as they are forced to project very intense colours for long periods, on an older unit I had the lamps would over heat after a mere half hour of gaming.
As stated the manual will tell if the manuf. has taken steps to protect the lamps.
oh yes i remember johnny, very amusing for 15 mins.click here to achieve nothing!0
