Hi there,
has anyone got through to the child benefit help line on 0845 302 1444 ? I must have tried 150 times and all i get is "we are experiencing higher than normal call volumes please try later" for over a week, even when i call at 8 am when it opens...i have not received the benefit since my son was born 4 months ago ... any ideas ? or is writing the only option ?
thanks
Pete

I've been having the exact same problem.
What a waste of time that phone number is! I ended up using the email form on the site, don't know if they'll do anything from that though.0 -
Probably, yes.
I'd say the problem is people are notifying them of their children staying on, or leaving, full time education at this time of year.
It should settle down over the next week or two, I'd have thought.
The only consolation I can give you is it will definitely be backdated.0 -

^You can report certain changes online, if that's any help^
Although quite when they'll get back to you is another matter altogether.0 -
