Parquet flooring refurbishment

Thought my experience might be of use to some other MSE.
We have recently sanded down our oak flooring in our dining room and I have been searching for advice on whether to wax it or varnish it. A friend put me onto OSMO hardwax oil. I managed to locate it at a local building suppliers. I can't recommend it too highly. A 2.5l tin cost £45 but it covers 30m2 twice. You apply two thin coats with a brush (the man in the building centre said he used a sweeping brush for the job). I used a hand brush and it took me just 2 hours to cover the whole room (about 25' x 14'). It's brought the wood out beautifully and will last for years with little maintenance.
The advantage of wax over varnish/lacquer is that varnish/lacquer will scratch and then you have to resand to reapply. With the wax you just apply somemore.

I'll give OSMO my vote too! We had the floor refurbished 3 years ago and this was recommended to us by the refurbishers.0
