I've had the ipod nano 3rd gen for a while and recently bought an itrip for using in the car.
To try it out before taking it in the car i used it in my room tonight. I tuned the frequency on the radio and set the itrip. Perfect.
But it switched off after a few minutes. I unplugged and plugged it in again and it started again no problem. The ipod keeps going but the itrip switches off.
From searching the net I think it's something like the ipod using a power saving mode and that's tricking the itrip into thinking it's off - so it switches off too. Pressing pause/play starts it up for another few minutes and everything is fine.
How do i check the power saving mode in the ipod 3rd gen so my itrip will play continuously??
thanks!!

I think the iTrip turns itself off if it thinks nothing is playing. Try turning the volume of the iPod up.0

thanks Marty - I'll give that a try.
I think the volume was quite low because it didn't seem to matter - maybe it does!
I'll let you know.
