At least 10% below the asking as a standard practise.
You only get full price in a buoyant market but not now unless you are living in a very sought after area.0 -
I am on the books of a few agents. They call me regularly and I make apoint of engagethem in conversation and reminding them the '30%' overvalued headlines have worried me a little and that I would be offering low on any property I liked. They still send me details they still phone me, I consider that indicative.0

lostinrates is correct, dont offer anything less than 25% off, the question do you want to suffer the money loss or do you want the seller to. Of course with people still in the denial phase, you will get knocked back but eventually they will come knockin at your door, especially if you are a FTB.0
