Is there anything we can do?
Ok we are with BG and use them for our gas and electric, i pay on the 17th of each month on a card of theirs and that's that, in august admiditly i was late paying, got a let letter for the electric and rung and opologised and asked if i was too late as i know they sometimes cancel your payment plan, was told nope fine, paid the electric and while i was on phone said i would pay the gas too, was told we are £54 in credit and to not pay as they would send a letter out with possible ammended payment out.
yesterday we got a letter saying we have not paid the gas and they are stopping our payment plan and we have to pay by quartrly bills..grr i hate this and like paying for things monthly so know where we are up to..
When i ring tom is there anything i can do to prove i was told not to pay it or are we stuck with the quarterly bills..we have tried changing suppliers but they are coming up cheapest so have no choice but to do what they say!
Thanks

I prefer monthly DD but you could always open a savings account and transfer the monthly payment from your bank account. After a couple of quarters, you'd be in a strong position to negotiate for monthly payments.
You could ask if calls are recorded and ask them to check back if you give them the date.0 -
If you are on the same tariff and it costs the same, you can just continue to use the card to pay monthly. When the quarterly bill arrives you should have less than a month's balance to pay - just make sure you keep the receipts from the card.0
