hi guys... i am hoping someone out there can help me....
i own a timeshare which we have'nt used for ages.. but this company rang me a month ago and said they could sell it for us and it would'nt cost us anything, well they've rang today and said they have a buyer [offered us a good price] but they need 1200 euro as security till the sale goes through... ii said i thought that it would'nt cost us anything but they have assured me that this deposit is totally refunded once the sale is through, it is only used as security to stop us selling to someone else... the company is called class properties and is based in malaga... has anybody had any dealings with this company and do you think i could trust them.... help

No. You cannot trust any company that makes this sort of offer. It's a well known scam.0

Yes, we had the same call, from another scam artist, 5 or 6 years ago:mad: I found the company who called listed in crimeshare.org's list of known scammers. I would bet your caller's company might be there too.....I couldn't access the crimeshare.org site to check (unable to connect).

Tickled pink, like me, I am sure your concept of selling something, is that you provide the item, and they provide the agreed dosh. Even our wonderful estate agents in the UK take their commission from sales proceeds don't they!0

If you really want to sell your timeshare totally upfront fees free, then I can recommend
http://www.timeshare-hypermarket.com/
They are probably Europes biggest legit reseller
You can browse their website and see what similar resales are realistically going for but just like used cars, you will have to take a serious hit on the bought new from developer price.
If you have been offered much more than what can be bought off http://www.timeshare-hypermarket.com/ then you really need to ask them why ?
Who would pay you 5K if it can be bought elsewhere for 500!
I bought my 2 weeks (2 bed 2 bath july Tenerife) for 350 each (+ resort transfer fee and legals)
At a recent presentation in Tenerife "Club Class Concierge" (a holiday club) offered me 12K for my 2 weeks if I signed up. That alone proved they were scamming.
But these companies play on our greed to extract sign up, retention fees etc.
BTW most resort fees are normally due in January, (when everyones skint) so Oct onwards theres often a glut of properties and buyers can often make 25% below offers.0
