Tesco credit card

I have been refused a Tesco credit card( how low can you go)
How can I get round this?

Did they say why? If you've been think you've been wrongly refused, eg. you have good credit rating then it might be worth checking your credit file with one of the reference agencies.

If its because you've got a bad credit history then there's prob. nothing you can do except find someone with less strigent criteria.

No reson for refusal. Ihave never been refused credit befor. I have writen to Tesco for an explanation. Meantime will check my credit rating. If I can find the web sites to do this.Any help would be appreashated

Join the club. Tesco refused me for no real reason so I went elsewhere. Maybe your rating is too good and they think you will clear the balance each month so they aren't going to be able to charge you lots of interest? Unfortunately, they don't have to offer you a card if they don't want to. The funny thing is that a couple of months after refusing me, I got a priority application form through the post for a tesco visa card LOL

With a priority application form at least you can get turned down quicker than a run of the mill punter.
Obviously Tesco want lots of applications.
Then they can sift the wheat from the chaff so to speak.

What are Tesco's like , after 9 days they have sent me a letter saying that my application for a credit card is being processed. Now I have sent my £4 off to the credit rating people. (thankyou for giving me that info)
aLL i can think of that maybe they keep an eye on Moneysaver.com
And so they should!!
