Best MSE way to do Parc Asterix?

We're going to Center Parcs in France next half term (May 2009) which is Mon-Fri and thought we'd tag a weekend at Parc Asterix on the way back. I know Tesco deals pays for the entry tickets. I wondered where the best (ie cheapest) place to stay is for 2 adults and 2 kids 7 & 4. We will have a car so getting around isn't important. Also would you need more than a day to do the park or could you do it in a day?

Thanks.

Does anyone know if you can use Tesco deals for the Novotels in France? There's one 5km from Parc Asterix and does rooms for 2+2.

Parc Asterix is much easier to do in a day than Disney, as it is smaller.

Having said that, you probably want 2 days there to get the most out of it - as it will be a weekend there might be a small amount of queueing involved!

Sorry, I can't help you with the Novotel question.

As for saving money at PA - packed lunches would be much cheaper than the food they serve, ditto drinks bought beforehand. The food is (unsurprisingly, for theme parks) a bit pricey, ditto sweets and fiwwy drinks your kids will no doubt want.

We couldn't do it in a day - queueing 2-3 Hours for each ride! That was in August though.

I'm banking on end of May not being a holiday in France. Though point taken about it being a weekend...
