hi i was wondering if anyone could give me an answer to my circumstances.
i am in full time employment but yesterday i fractured my wrist meaning i wont be able to work for 1 month as i have a cast on,
i'm a hgv driver so i cant drive i also have to drive to get to work so can't work in the office etc. there's only me in my household and i have no saving's to fall back on.
i have been told that i will receive ssp which is £75 a week this will not cover my mortgage council tax etc.
does anyone know if this is all i'm entitled to or if there's any chance of a council tax rebate?
new to the whole benefit scheme so any answer's would be most welcome.
thanks in advance
andy.

If this is your only income and you have savings less than £6000 you may find you are eligible for Council Tax Benefit.
Put your details into https://www.entitledto.com and see what it comes up with.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Hi There
Just happen to notice your thread, I have been in the same position, but longer, unfortunately my employers did not have a proper sick pay scheme so I only received SSP, obviously depends on your circumstances, but if you going to be off for more than a month I would contact your mortgage lender and the council tax and the CAB might be worth a visit, Also try looking at other posts regarding employment and SSP0 -
