Insiders Guide to Airfares & Hotels - any good?

I've just received an email promoting this, and have also seen flyers drop out of newspapers and magazines for the "Insiders Guide to Airfares and Hotels Autumn 2008"
Supposed to allow you to "Fly First Class for the budget fare and stay in five star hotels for the price of a budget hotel whether working or on holiday at no extra cost."
The website is www.ggbooks.co.uk
The full guide is £69 - you'd have to be getting some good offers inside for that to be of value!
Anyone ever purchased this or seen it, or is it just a scam?

Surely I'm not the only one to receive this information? Anyone?0

I am going to stick my neck out here and suggest it is a pile of s**t and in the same vein as other websites that have moved on from selling snake oil.

"Imagine flying First Class for the Economy Class Fare... Imagine staying in a Five Star Hotel for a fraction of the cost"
To quote a lad on flyertalk... "I can imagine both perfectly well without paying £69.00"The MSE Dictionary

I'd imagine it's a bunch of !!!!. Probably full of 'tips' like 'wear a bowler hat, suit and guarantee yourself an upgrade to first class even though you bought a deeply discounted economy fare'0

The full guide is £69
Have you read the following article titled How To Get A Free Upgrade?
It should tell you all you really need to know and it is totally free.

That is the same book and company Tojo Ralph. Look at the company name on the website.
It's been going for years, which is why perhaps it's never been exposed as a scam - surely if it was, you'd have heard about it by now? Also, that the flyers come out of more quality newspapers, and even investigative journals such as Private Eye, made me post the question in the first place.
Not that I'm tempted to buy, just curious to know if anyone else has, and if there really is an amazing level of detail - or if it ever has been exposed as a scam as we suspect it is.
I've been flying for 20 years, and never once bagged an upgrade, and tried all those tips recently posted from Martin many times - most (especially the smart clothes one) have no effect at all, and I got fed up flying long haul in smart clothes! The best way to bag a free upgrade is know a pilot or cabin crew.Tojo_Ralph wrote: »..

I couldn't agree with you more (my linking to the guide was just my sense of humour, sorry) and I know FB Plat Elite Lifers and long termers whose bona-fide non domestic upgrades can be counted on the one hand and others that have never had an upgrade.
