Hi just wondered if any of you people knew what my boiler buzzes when it fires up, sometimes if does and sometimes it doesnt, it lasts a second or so, but i am starting to get worried about it, i have only had it installed about a year. Ive tried ringing the guy who fitted it but he is on holiday till end of week.
Thanks in advance

What boiler is it? It may just be the fan mounts, or the pump in the case of a combi, or a divertor, sometimes the cases vibrate. It's very hard to comment on a noise if you haven't heard it yourself. I doubt it's anything to worry about.0

Hi, its an Ideal Classic SE15FF, its only started doing it in the last 3 or 4 months, only does it when it fires up for a brief moment.
Thanks0 -
Hmm my radiators buzz a loud noise even after i've bled them, i have to turn the dial on the rad to shut it up. Don't know about your boiler though0

Kimberly you need to check whether you have directional thermostatic radiator valves and then check that they are at the correct end of the radiator. If that's all ok it may be the abscence of, or incorrectly adjusted, automatic by-pass on the system that's the problem.Kimberley wrote:Hmm my radiators buzz a loud noise even after i've bled them, i have to turn the dial on the rad to shut it up. It could be the gas valve opening, it might be sticking slightly, or it could be something to do with some thermal activity in the heat exchanger. I bet Ideal technical will be able to tell you. Check your literature for their technical helpline number, be warned they may not talk to you as you are not Corgi registered (I assume).0
