When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Hi to any new posters and a big shout to the usual gang.:j
Thanks Andan for doing the post yesterday:A , things are a bit hectic for me at the moment, dad and brother are both terminal with cancer and i am helping mum with the caring as well as full time work.Hopefully Andan or another of the regulars will post the thread if it doesn't appear some days, thanks guys:A .
Things for me today:
Catch up with you all later.

Hi all,
Sophiesmum - sending you loads of hugs and shall be thinking of you.
As for the DFW moneysaving tip-ets:
Today I have changed my quilt over and put the winter one back on.
Last night was cold and DH put the central heating on    , my god it's only September, DH reckoned we should all buy 5ltr 4x4's to help with the climate change !!!!!, somehow I think he's got the wrong end of the stick. :rotfl: For someone who is incredibly intelligent, he can also be incredibly stupid - lol.
Anyway we couldn't afford the road tax anywayOpinions are like bottom holes, we all have one

Hello all
Remembered lunch but did not remember to get anything out of the freezer for tea (was supposed to be going out), todays challenge, which I choose to accept is to eat from fridge. I know that there are some mushrooms in there as well as bacon so may do some sort of pasta/rice dish.
Have a good day everyone.0
