mastercard retailer offers?

Canon are offering £100 cashback if their camera is bought using mastercard. I would like to know if the Egg card is a mastercard as Egg gives a 10% discount at some camera retailers.
If not, do any mastercards have a discount arrangement with camera retailers?

Out of interest, what is the difference between mastercard and visa?

Very little. 99% of the time, there's no noticeable difference, but Mastercard seem to have pulled a rather nice one here. Visa & Mastercard are almost always equally accepted, you will find very few retailers who accept one but not the other.

Egg Money is a Mastercard, the Egg Card that i had before that was a Visa. Apply for Egg Money, if you get accepted, you'll have the Mastercard you're after.

Where did you find out about this? I looked at the Canon and Mastercard websites but could not see anything.
