a quick whoosh in, wave and whoosh out.

Work until 1, then (in the same building!) tutor indiction until 2, then Charlie, now shoving food in my gob for lunch and have to leave for hairdressers in 10 minutes. I've managed to get out of the 6.30-8.30 'mandatory' staff meeting which is good as I have my bag to pack for Leeds.

I've been asked if I'll consider taking a higher level certificate in an area so I can be a stand by tutor for a food related course which would be more teaching and in my induction Iwas asked if I was any good at cake decorating!! Nope!!! It's a one off session, but tutorless at the moment and I was thinking of going on it myself!

Anyway, I've been asked to consider learning myself so I can teach it!!!!!!

I am a bit ham fisted, don't think it's quite my thing, chocolate blobs is more my style!. I could certainly prepare a 2 hour taster session, I know what the content would be and I'd only include myself doing a little bit of practical work (the rest would be discussing technique and the learners having a go) but it's not something I'd do at the moment!!!

Burnt my mouth on my lunch now eating it so quick.

Welcome to the world of FE teaching:rolleyes: Just as long as you are a lesson ahead of your students you will be OK:rotfl:

Might see you on Saturday K :D

I don't think FB has a 'function' as such. It just is! It is handy for chucking up photos and keeping in touch with friends and family in a very casual way. I've been 'poking' a mate and getting 'poked' back for about 6 months but we've not actually communicated in any more meaningful way:rotfl:

Bump Band:rotfl: It's not the most flattering term is it?

If I ever get through my tax exams I hope to pick up my italian and german again. I tried spanish for a while and my tutor kept getting cross because I was speaking spanish with an italian accent:confused: :rotfl:

    Hope you're okay Lou :grouphug:

I'm sure you'll get through those exams! Everyone here who's doing accounting exams moans about the tax stuff but I find it quite interesting - they still make fun of me for getting totally engrossed when our boss was talking about a certain VAT law at one meeting... :o

I've got the opposite problem - the little bit of Italian I know, I speak with a Spanish accent!

For the record - VAT is only for super geeks:p There is a pecking order for geekiness among accountant types:
    auditor - geek
corporate/income tax specialist - extra geek
    VAT specialist - super geek
    actuary - ultra diehard geek:rotfl:

No, you can chat online to. A little marker should pop up at the side or bottom of the windom and you can IM the people online.

Most of the 'applications' on mine are because people have sent me invites/presents/questions and I'm too nosy not to check them out properly. I occasionally purge so I'm just left with the messages and photos bit
