Hmmph. Shopping for maternity clothes sucks. All 'evening' stuff seems to be black or extortionate or too big for my bump:(

Online doesn't seem much better. Honestly I could cut a hole in a bin bag, out it on and still feel more attractive than in some of those monstrosities!

That's a shame - I always think there's some nice maternity clothes about but it does tend to be a bit more casual, and more tops than dresses.

Been busy here but I think I can take a tea break - cold seems to be holding off from developing into anything too nasty thank goodness.

I signed up to do Spanish evening classes today (though they don't start for a few weeks) - excited! :D

    Hola!

I've been busy too for a change! Managed to clear all but one item on my to do list which I can pick at for the next couple of hours:D

Any reason for picking Spanish in particular?

If I was just going out for a drink/dinner with a friend there's a good choice but nothing I would consider smart enough even for a 'casual' wedding reception. I've got a couple wrap tops and some nice trousers in my wardrobe that I might be able to use with the strategic aid of a bump band. Will investigate tomorrow night...

That's not bad - it's my busy time of year here, start of academic and our financial year.. so I actually have enough work to do for a couple of months before I get bored again...

I did Spanish up to 6th year at school and have been meaning to pick it up again for ages, really fancy doing some work involving languages eventually. Finding it's all coming back much more quickly than I thought, especially with reading but will be great to practise speaking with real live people!

Do you know what? I have absolutely no idea what facebook is for, how to use it or what the point is:confused:

Hello by the way, havent been around for a bit:o needed to get my head together about a few things.

Off to work soon (don't ask) but just thought I would pop in and say hello.

Why does a bump band make me think of Mr Bump from the Mr Men.. I can see you all in blue with a white bandage round your middle :rotfl:

Hello Lou, I'm not entirely sure what it's for either, except it's handy for showing people photos and sending them virtual fruit/ drinks/ plants :rotfl: I think I might have added you on there the other day?

    Hope you're ok x

Bump Band:rotfl: It's not the most flattering term is it?

If I ever get through my tax exams I hope to pick up my italian and german again. I tried spanish for a while and my tutor kept getting cross because I was speaking spanish with an italian accent:confused: :rotfl:

    Hope you're okay Lou :grouphug:

  • a quick whoosh in, wave and whoosh out.

Work until 1, then (in the same building!) tutor indiction until 2, then Charlie, now shoving food in my gob for lunch and have to leave for hairdressers in 10 minutes. I've managed to get out of the 6.30-8.30 'mandatory' staff meeting which is good as I have my bag to pack for Leeds.

I've been asked if I'll consider taking a higher level certificate in an area so I can be a stand by tutor for a food related course which would be more teaching and in my induction Iwas asked if I was any good at cake decorating!! Nope!!! It's a one off session, but tutorless at the moment and I was thinking of going on it myself!

Anyway, I've been asked to consider learning myself so I can teach it!!!!!!

I am a bit ham fisted, don't think it's quite my thing, chocolate blobs is more my style!. I could certainly prepare a 2 hour taster session, I know what the content would be and I'd only include myself doing a little bit of practical work (the rest would be discussing technique and the learners having a go) but it's not something I'd do at the moment!!!

Burnt my mouth on my lunch now eating it so quick.
