Over zealous Barclays fraud checks

Egg Money are ALWAYS querying my transactions. Like some of the above, I tend to use the card for expensive/unusual purchases. Whilst I appreciate the anti-fraud measures (they once caught a one dollar iTunes transaction made in the US, which they said was someone testing whether the number was genuine), it can get really annoying having to call them to authorise my transactions.
Oh, and they do block the card till I've spoken to them.0 -
Hmm, reading these posts it seems like everyone's given their banks their phone numbers - I think I'll let both Barclays and Barclaycard have my mobile number. I bet they've got my old old number from years ago so that's why they never call...
Your phone number is one of the things they require you to give when applying for the card.
Egg phone me on my mobile - I have their number in the address book (or I did until I lost my phone
) because they called more than once. Conjugating the verb 'to be":
