best software or option to build my own

cheap and cheerful website? dont mind doing exchange of help with someone on something else if necessary. need to start it asap and would like to update myself. thanks everso.

    A good easy place to start is something like 110mb, you can use any software to create the site and use their tools to upload.

    You could always try Google sites (http://sites.google.com) for a quick and easy way to set up a no-html-necessary, easy to edit site.
