Hi
We have a a wirless modem at home and my other half computer works on it perfect. Any room, any time its fine. My computer is hit and miss and more recently miss. I can hardly ever get on and then the signal goes. We are both listed on the the settings but mine just wont work. I did think i couldnt stand it any more so invested in a Advant 4211 notebook and thought that might help when the other one crashed...thinking its was my laptop on the blink and now i have the problem with my second laptop. The common thread seems to be both my laptops are xp....Any suggestions??
Thanks!!

Hi
No it happens and and olff all the time..mostly off.
I think its a Ralink rt2500 wireless lan
Anyone help?
Thanks0 -
I had that with a ralink wireless card which I solved by inputting the fixed ip address (for the computer) from the router instead of letting it automatically find one.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
