in Credit cards
As the title says really, I need some help. I made 2 payments using my debit card to pay my credit card, one on the Thursday and one on the Friday. The amount for Friday has exited my current account, however the amount for Thursday's has not, and it's not even reflected as in progress on my available balance.
I have spoken to the credit card people and they say they're received the money and my balance is now £0.
Has this every happened to anyone on here? Please help!

I wouldn't spend the money. Make a mental note that the money has been spent. Sometimes debit card transactions can take a few weeks to be actioned even though the other side has received the funds.0

It's certainly now an amount that we would forget was there, and as such had absolutely no intentions of spending it, sadly!
Thanks for the help, just was really confused that the smaller amount had come out of my bank, but the larger amount paid the day before still seemed to be there!0 -
but does anyone know if there's a period of time within which the money has to come from my account?
The credit card company insists it's paid off, and my current account bank insist there's no transaction for the first amount.0 -
6 years.
Although there are people who will come on here and say that Visa or Mastercard rules say that a transaction has to be applied for in a certain number of days.
At the end of the day don't worry - your credit card is paid off but the money is still in your account, If its there in 6 years and 1 day spend it - otherwise wait for someone's sloppy accountancy to catch up with you.0
