Bit of a Skype problem for last few weeks and seems to be getting worse. I keep appearing offline to people (and one or two sometimes appear offline to me when they're online). I have to send a message to appear offline but recently after a bit it drops back to appearing offline to other people, but they still appear online to me. So far I've reinstalled Skype, deleted Skype account info on pc and reinstalled Skype and logged in, I've tried installing latest beta version and still the same. I've even tried using another of my accounts on the same PC but same thing. Definitely has exemption in the firewall. So wondering what else to check...


Edit: oh and it's an XP machine at work.

I used to get the same too, and have seen it on other peoples accounts.

Think it is just skype and nothing to do with you.

What I suspected, will just have to hope it clears itself up. If it was just something personal it'd be one thing but we actually use it for work. Although strange it did exactly same thing on my other account (which has nothing to do with current one) on the PC, unless it's just the routing to this PC that's the problem.

Just to update, only solution so far was to downgrade all the way to Skype 2.5. Apparently 3.0 and above is having some major problems with people, especially on LANs and there's no fix yet.

I noticed this happen for the skype test call contact, but when I call it, it shows up online, very odd!!
