Trouble connecting to internet

I'd be very grateful if anyone could give me advice on this. For over a week now it's been almost impossible for me to get online. 
Every time I try, it starts dialling then says error with a number, and it hasn't connected. I've been trying all morning and only got online a few minutes ago. I know I'll only be on the internet for a few minutes and then it will disconnect. :eek:
Please help.

Thanks for replying. It usually says Error 734 or 619. The service provider is Plusnet and it's broadband.0
