Update on my ex-LL and useless LA

I'm back! As promised I did say I would update (see previous thread, "Getting my TDS deposit back") but was keeping quiet for a bit after a poster who had their own agenda (you know who you are).
So issued claim against LL and one against LA - the 28 day to reply has now passed.
The LA did reply and I have now sent in the allocation questionnaire but, as usual, LL is simply ignoring me. Today I received a return to sender of the last letter I sent her saying I would be taking her to court, but I know she did ccollect the first letter I sent so she can't pleaed ignorance.
Also I received a copy of the judgment the court have sent to her - she has to pay my deposit plus interest forthwith!!!!
But now what? How long do I have to wait to receive it and what's the next step i.e. bailiffs?
BTW thanks for the help and support from this thread; still got the LA claim to resolve but if anyone wants any help then I'll do my best.

I'm having the same issue as you, but I'm earlier in the stage
Tenancy agreement ended 2 months ago, and LL and LA are ignoring us. Letters demanding payment will be sent tomorrrow and if they don't give us our deposit back, I'll follow your path.
Keep us updated on what happens

Presumably the LL didn't show so it was a default judgement?
The papers you have received from the court should tell you how long the LL was given to pay up. Your next step, if she doesn't, is to check up on Leaflet EX321 - see here: http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/ex321_0406.pdfHGLTsuperstar wrote: ».... But now what? Hi tbs624 - yes it was a default judgment as she just keeps ignoring everyone. As I said, the second letter I sent recorded delivery has been returned but she collected the first one so there's no excuse.
I'll give her 7 days then getting the bailiffs in, and intend to park around the corner and watch!0 -
A great tip I read on here- for getting letters to errant landlords- is to send it in a parcel. People cant resist going ot the post office ot collect a parcel it seems- so we tried it out outrslves on an errant landlord who owes us 200 quid, put the letter in a shoe box- wrapped it, and what a surprise it was recieved straight away.
maybe the LL thinks someone has sent them a lovely present or they have won a prize
sadly not
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Good idea and will bear in mind. But it's really gone beyond that point now as the court has ruled against her, so now the clock starts ticking.0

Please can you video the bailiff and put it on youtube for us?Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0

Oh I'd already thought of that one!0

Thanks for the update! Wow I hope the bailiffs goes well or that she sends you money today!0

Post has just been and, as expected, the LA are sitting me out on my claim to them regarding not protecting my deposit properly so that's now going to be scheduled for a hearing. Oooh exciting times!0

Well its been a week and she's still ignoring both me and the courts. I rang her this AM (withheld number) just to see if she was still at that address - she answered and I hung up.
So went to the court today, filed a warrant for execution and now just waiting to get the warrnat number then was told to phone the bailiffs to know when they're going over there.
What really rangles is OK she ignored me to start with (as expected) but she thinks she can just ignore the official court notices aswell. Maybe its me but if I had court summons issued against me I'd at least acknowledge it then fight it.0
