Belgian visa - What do "Remarks:BNL2" mean?

Hello,

I have got a schengen visa C type from Belgium embassy in London today.
The remarks column says "Remarks: BNL2".

Does anyone know what does this mean? Is there any restriction on my travel or can I travel to some other country such as Italy?

Any help is hugely appreciated!!

Thanks,
Greg.

    Hi Greg

If you Google "Schengen Visa", you will find the following site:

    http://www.immihelp.com/visas/schengenvisa/

Scroll to the bottom and it tells you what the Visa Codes mean. "Short Stay Visa (C) allows you to visit the Schengen countries for tourism, family or business visits, up to a maximum of 90 days in a given 180 days period."

As Italy is one of the countries in the Schengen treaty (?!), you should be able to use that same visa to visit it.

I did not find any information on the BNL2 code (although I didn't look very hard!) but I would assume it just shows that it was issued by the Belgian Embassy...

    Hope that helps
