Help! New Property Issue

Silvercar - that could be a possible solution, never thought of that. I'm going to visit the property again on saturday so might see if thats a possiblity. The only thing is that it could be costly but possibly something I could keep in mind in the future if I purchased. The only thing that worries me is that the house was nearly sold 6 times since it has been built and at every time people pulled out of buying because of the garden. But its definitely something to think about.0

At what price were they pulling out though? They probably weren't pulling out at £130k.
I know that house prices aren't static but if you paid £130k for a house that with a better garden would sell for £182k then that is more than enough to compensate - that's the difference between a small three bed house and a two bed flat in my town!
If the developer were to advertise the house at £130k then it would very likely sell but developers won't do it. They often have these awkward plots but they won't let everybody see how much they're prepared to drop or it affects values on their plots elsewhere; they just start hinting quite heavily that they will negotiate to those that are viewing and potentially able to afford.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Unfortunately I don't know what price they pulling out at. Its really funny because on friday the lowest price they could drop it to was £150k. Then on saturday afternoon it was £145k and then finally they said they could drop it to £130k. Not sure if its worth trying to get it down to £125k. Then I think I would definitely buy and be able to afford to sort the garden out. Thats if its possible to improve the garden.0

You've already saved another £1300 in Stamp Duty by doing nothing.
If that's the price that makes you happy then try it. I'd suggest that you stress that you will move very quickly if they will agree to that price - you're going to have to make it worth their while.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
