AMEX - Card Fraud - 24HR CORP CARMICHAEL

Just posted in the Lloyds TSB thread re above, but thought a new one would be a better idea!
I have a personal Virgin AMEX card which has been used fraudulently recently with the following appearing on the statement:
24 HOUR CORP 24HOUR CARMICHAEL
This isnt just an AMEX problem, so if you do see this as an item on your statement you need to contact your card company and have it checked out. Apparently it's becoming quite common but, as the amounts withdrawn are around the £13 mark, they're often dismissed as something paid for but forgotten about e.g. in a bar etc, and easily missed if you use your card frequently.
Worth checking.

I think it is specific to AMEX cards, but not to one particular type of AMEX.
There have been a lot of LTSB AMEX cards hit and my AMEX Platinum card was charged also. There are also a lot of people in the US who have had this on their AMEX card.
I have yet to hear of any non AMEX incidents.Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right!

I too have had transactions from 24 hour corp on my Virgin Airline AMEX.
I am finding their customer service is not very helpfull, and i am wondering how other found this experience. :mad:
It has been two weeks since i informed them about these issues. I have spoken to members of the MBNA service team on 3 separate occasions. I called back today to find out when my account would be credited and i was told that they had on record that i had accepted the charges. They suggested that i should call 24 hour corp to cancel any subcriptions!! After insisting that this is fraudulent, they have once again flagged these as un-authorized, and its potentially another 10 days before i will receive a call from the security department.
Am i just unlucky? is is this the level of service other people have had from MBNA?0
