Re claming from same bank that holds my mortgage

Hi i am thinking about reclaming charges from an old bank account, however said bank(not mentioning wich one but think you will know wich one i mean)has been in financial difficulty and nearly closed down last year somy partner says we wont get anything. Also i still hold my mortgage with the same company and my partner is worried it may affect our mortage. Any help you could give would be great.

Well you won't if you don't claim.

Your mortgage is a completely separate agreement and will not be affected by a claim on a current a/c

id only add not to claim back any "mortgage" charges they may have made through "court".

    My opinion is:

Point 1) The bank was rescued and nationalized by the government and therefore the govt. would be responsible for any payments, if successful.

Point 2) The mortgage is totally separate and would be seen as a total separate entity.
