Ipod shuffle through car stereo?

Hi

Is it possible to play an Ipod shuffle through a normal car stereo? My father has one and asked if I knew if it was possible. Also I fancy an Ipod or similar to do the same but don't want to break the bank.

Be careful. A lot of the Ipod adaptors will only fit certain models AND only certain generations of that model. What generation of Ipod shuffle does your father have, first or second generation? If it's the newer one there are a few to choose from.

Not a clue. he had it last christmas and it is blue. that is all i know.

You can do this through an FM transmitter (like the itrip above), through a tape adapter (if you still have a cassette in the car) or through a head-unit with a 3.5mm jack on the front of it...The first option's probably the easiest...

We use the Kensington Universal FM transmitter, works with with the Shuffle (and any other MP3 player), it's much better than the Belkin ones, which can be useless at a good signal. Amazon and others sell it, should be £20 or less.
