Can I change a lap belt into a 3 point belt?

Hi

I have got a Y reg Vauxhall Zafira and was wondering if there was a way of changing the lapbelt in the middle seat into a 3 point belt? We have got 3 children under 2 and a 1/2 so need 3 car seats and keeping one of the rear seats up permanently defies the real reason we bought it.

sorry cant answer your question but just a watchout when the law changed last year it was on TV that if you have 3 seats in the back of a car they cannot touch each other as there needs to be space between them so in many cars its just not possible to have a car seat in the middle seat. Someone may be able to confirm this.

The safest way to do it would be to buy a new seat or a secondhand seat from a scrapped 03 onwards Vauxhall that has the centre 3 point seat belt.
