I dont think its anything to do with when it gets paid-as long as the ones who are paying keep paying to cover those who get away with not doing so....:j0 -

Plus extra admin for the council = extra council tax, perhaps that widens your smile? This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -
of course its to do with wehn it gets paid, if its late or not at all then there is extra admin costs, extra postage, court costs, the list goes on.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Thinking about it you're right.I think my 130 odd quid a month surely stretches to the occassional postage stamp to remind me I'm a couple of days late!:j0

I see what you're saying but like ferry says, I can't see where else the money gets spent so I kinda think they can afford to send me a letter reminding me. I'm sure they're pretty much comuter generated anyway and how much is a 2nd class stamp nowadays, 18p or something. It costs me about £90 odd pound a month for a 1 bedroom flat and I don't see much of the benefits from council tax.
Anyway, I'm playing devils advocate really, cos I don't pay the tax, my boyfriend does and he's pretty good at paying ontime.
