They had run out of Cadbury's Roses tins in our local T's yesterday.

Went to customer services who put a call out for the staff member dealing with that section. No-one came so got a 'promise' - rainy day note which covers the deal price at any time.

I just went to Tesco's with my friend and we got 6 tins between us so £12 each. I have kept hers at my house as she won't be able to keep them till Dec 25th!

Yes maybe others will follow with price matching them but to me it is about spreading the cost and one thing less to worry about. They are obviously not essential but then most of the stuff we buy at xmas isn't.

Why stop there? Tesco have 46 BOGOF offers on at the moment. Why not get two of each and try returning one of each to the store for a refund. Let us know if it works won't you?

I bought my 2 tins of heros yesterday! My local Mr T is the Meadows in Camberley and this deal was in the section that always has random deals/promotions - after frozen section. TMI???!!!! :)

I agree with one of the other posters - I've bought these now purely to spread the cost of the 'C' word. Just one more thing I don't have to worry about! Expiry date: May 2009

    Thanks OP! Ash xx

OH come on people I work in a distribution centre for a major supermarket we have had this stuff coming through since April. We are into the xmas puds now, piles of those going through. Next it will be tons of mince pies, should largely be out of those before my Birthday in mid October. Easter eggs and gold bunnies should start arriving early december.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

Worth trying to find any signs, including the large banners outside some stores, as this would probably count for DTD!!

My local Asda has got a great big sign on the outside wall about Easter Eggs !!! That really is crazy.
