  • I've got a bit of a problem with a red nose. Which is embarrasing, to say the least! My kids make reference to Coco the Clown, cider drinkers etc.
So when I was wondering around Boots with my till spits, and I came across Sanctuary Skin Comforting Balm I thought that might help my big red nose.
When I got home and tried it I was a bit upset that it felt like vasoline, and would lead to me having a shiny red nose, until I smelt it (its vile). I did, smear some on, and indeed my poor nose was shiny.
However, a couple of hours later it looked much less red, and now, after a couple of days it looks very nearly normal. (thats not true, it just looks much less red).
Its a shame they couldn't have made it a little more face-friendly - who would want to paint smelly vasoline on middle of their face?

Anyway - here's a (sort of) recommendation for Sanctuary Skin Comforting Balm!!!

I bought Usher and Roxy Love 2 weeks ago when it was half price - I was really chuffed until everyone started getting it 75% off!

I'm going to have to buy even more perfume on Saturday now to get over these feelings of resentment :rotfl:

(that's if you lot have left any on the shelves......:rotfl: :rotfl: )

Wow, what a day we've had!

It started with a trip to Mothercare on the outskirts of Ipswich to see what they had. Got a couple of bits of pieces for the impending bundle of joy (Less than 5 weeks to go now). After an early morning haircut, the g/f pointed out a number of grey hairs that were poking out! I'm only 27, it is amazing what a baby on the way can do to you!! So, a quick trip to Boots was in order for some hair dye. Ventured in upstairs via the baby department, which was as far as we got!!

    Now for the good bit.

The majority of the baby department was on clearance!!! Not just that, but all bedding was on 342!!

So, we filled our arms with as much as we could carry and treated ourselves to a taxi back, rather than carting it all on the bus home.

    We came away with:

Samsonite Pop up Bubble microlite travel cot - £12.50 (Down to £40 on website from £50)
    Hippychick cotbed protector - £10.05 (£19.95 Web)
    Essential Cream Sheets - £9.38 (£14 web)
    Treacle & Bubble Blanket - £5.25 (£18.99 Mammas n Papas)
    Latter FREE on 342

    Koala Sleeping Bag 0-6 months - £5.00 (£18.99 web)
    Boots 2 pack sheets Cotbed - £2.50 (£10 web)
Boots Cellular Cotbed blanket - £2.50 (£11.99 web)
    Latter FREE on 342

Lumilove Night Light - £10 (Was £21.99, now £10.99 web)
    3 pack Cuddlerobes - £8.71 (£12.99 web)
    Big Hug Po - £6.25 - (£24.99 web)
Born 2 Shop Anti Roll changing mat - £4.50 (£12 web)
Red Maternity Bag - £3 (Can't find this one and no label on it)
    Sponge Bob safety shades * 2 - £1.13 (Was £4.49, down to £2.24 web)

Total of £74.15, all paid in points!!

Not including the Maternity Bag, the total of all the goods at RRP comes to £224.87! Giving a saving of £150.72.

A decent days work, and with only points used, the bank account doesn't take a hit either, and the nursery is well kitted out.

We can only assume they are clearing space for all the xmas stuff, so keep an eye out in your store!

Oh, and then we had to carry all this downstairs whilst we got the hair dye!

For those Ipswich Bootsers, not sure what they will have left by tomorrow morning, but get there early if you want anything. A few bouncers and strollers all less than half price also. Not many toys though.
  • wow well done arcey80
