I gave my sister 3 mitchum vouchers to take to Boots in Huddersfield.
At the till, she was told that they were forgeries and accused of fraud.
The manager came, and after an heated discussion, he admitted that he just was not accepting them until the £1 off promotion ended. He apploogised for the 'fraud' allegation.
What a discracfull way to treat a customer who is actually buying the products she had coupons for. She was very upset and embarrassed at being accused in front of all the customers.
Boots aint heard the last of this ............................................

Huddersfield branch. She only popped in for some mitchum and lynx. She ended up with neither, as ahe was so upset she left.
I will be writing to head office, as it's not on what they did.0 -

At the end of the day Boots are still going to get £1.50 back from mitchum for the voucher (and perhaps a small fee on top of for handling?) So its all the same to them - they get the money in the end . So is it not better for them to take the vouchers rather than no sale at all??
I know its crazy. I often get coupons for shopping. If i go in Tesco and their bread is 20p cheaper than sainsbury, and i have a coupon for it, i dont pop down to sainsbury's to use the coupon on the full price one cos its too cheap in Tesco.
The price in the store has nothing to do with the coupon. The store gets the same money back either way. All this manager is doing is upsetting customers and giving Boots a bad name.
If she was a Bootser, she may have took it on the chin, but she was just a normal shopper trying to save a few quid on deodorant.0 -
Hi all'
Did anyone manage a smaller version of the EL farfume print...i recall a post saying it swallowed loads of ink.
xx
It may be far too late to reply to this now (sorry!) but before you go wasting lots of printer ink, a) people have said you can get the sample without the voucher and b) the Boots I tired today had run out of samples anyway!0 -
After looking in five Boots for cheap No7 to use the vouchers on, today i went in my local store for the first time in months. It was half price AND BOGOF on sun care.
Its been under my nose all along0 -
well done techspec.. I am STILL trying to find this and holiday is getting closer! lol0

Hi there!
I have been trying to get my head around the baby expert glitch - I have got two vouchers ending differently. Anyway, I have been searching and searching (and have now given up!) for a post someone helpfully did a few months ago. I am trying to work out how much will be approx deducted with both vouchers (I'm scared of the final figures being in the minus if i don't add enough on!!)
Thank you all x
Oh - I was reading the thread about the washing powder etc - is it just .com having the 20% promotion or is it instore also? I need to stock up!!
Thanks again x0
