locusts had been through metrocentre today no TD for under a fiver apart from the last 2 mens face wash (guess what my brother's getting a lot of for christmas) although i got JK files and No7 gloves. Many thanks to whoever gave the heads up about the MF GWP going through free as I got 2 and gave one to my mum as a pressie for her holidays. She was well chuffed. Kids are now well and truly sick of Boots. DD (4) had to be physically dragged through the door today! But I still have till spits to use !!
Thanks for all the tips lately guys as a newbie bootser I really appreciate it !0 -
I gave my sister 3 mitchum vouchers to take to Boots in Huddersfield.
At the till, she was told that they were forgeries and accused of fraud.
The manager came, and after an heated discussion, he admitted that he just was not accepting them until the £1 off promotion ended. He apploogised for the 'fraud' allegation.
What a discracfull way to treat a customer who is actually buying the products she had coupons for. She was very upset and embarrassed at being accused in front of all the customers.
Boots aint heard the last of this :mad:0 -

do you know, when I went to the place that shall not be mentioned, I too was charged £3.23 for a meal deal:eek: .. I even went back in to query (sp) it and the (sorry but she was) Hitler SA said NO ITS RIGHT:mad: , so i ran to hide behind my carrot cake! it was advertised as £2.99 meal deal, but I was too scared to argue and at the end of the day I was falling out over 24p but . think about it if they make 24p out of everyone who gets a meal deal.
.. they will be very rich very quick!

Oooh you are so right tho hunni - it used to be £2.99, but its only the last couple of times I've checked the price, so not sure how long its been happening, maybe its an overall increase? :rolleyes:Treasurer and Co Founder of - The Smile It Won't Hurt Club

At the end of the day Boots are still going to get £1.50 back from mitchum for the voucher (and perhaps a small fee on top of for handling?) So its all the same to them - they get the money in the end . So is it not better for them to take the vouchers rather than no sale at all??0 -
