I went to this High Wycombe last week.

It's quite a big sized store. They had lots of the TS LH range, but the serum was out of stock.
Couldn't find the reduced section as was being rushed round

Decent sized No 7 section, and lots of electricals as well. Couldn't find the JK nail files though

Was there anything in particular you were after? I may just remember if they had it!
Anyone know what this stores like?
    High Wycombe Octagon Arcade ?

  • Hi

Just got back from another Boots shop, my 3rd this week. I wasn't even going to go today, but thought, oh why not, just to get out of the office.

Ok so this is Maidenhead Boots in High Street.

They had LOADS of reduced baby stuff, all in normal place with reduced sel. Looks like most of stuff is 75% off (at least). From memory they had :

Chicco DJ baby walker £12.50 (i think this was £42ish)
Chicco 3d play mat £6.75 (from about £35ish)
A Lamaze spin and explore garden £7.50 (was £31.99)
Chicco baby bouncer chair £11.00 (from £40ish)
    Baby baths £1.75
Baby changing mats (marked £3 but scanning at £2)
Tomy baby carrier £5 (from £20ish)
    Moses basket £12
Sunblinds (50p for a Dora one)
    Loads of baby bedding
    Lots of Einsteen toys reduced

Honestly I couldn't believe the bargains !!!!! Great if you're expecting or know someone who is. Good reductions on the clothing too (lots of baby shoes for £1).

I also spotted some reduced toys, yesterday the vtech sing a long piano was £10 (last week it was full price at £19.99). Today it was down to £5.00 and also 3 for 2, so grabbed 3 fo £10 for presents, bargain ! Really pleased with myself, especially as they are selling for £19.99 everywhere including argos, toys r us, elc !!!!! Only down side was that even though I spent £5 no pinky or till spit, the SA said she was completely out of them ...................................... shame as I really wanted some of those No7 gloves, never mind.

  • quinny buzz for £87 is fab!! mine cost me nearly £400

Another quinny buzzer here :) Us bootsers must have similar tastes!! Mine is in Juice, pink and orange and I love it too. :rotfl:
  • Blodwin, I actually near did lol lol

Scarlett, not feeling really that brave....they scare me a little, they have all the power!! Also, if CS emails me back and offers no points as compensation I'm gonna be miffed, but....is it cheeky to expect them?

Sorry, but lol @ them having all the power :rotfl:

I've had to ring them on a few occasions and they have always been VERY nice, polite and helpful (some SAs could learn a thing or two ;) ). Go on, do it :D Here...... I'll help you:

Boots CS - Good afternoon, Boots customer service, how can I help you?
MrsBB - oh, hello <sniff> I hope you can please. I've been saving my points up for aaaaaaages now and I went into <insert store here> to treat myself to the Lancome GWP.... I was buying the right amount of items to qualify. But <sniff again, for effect> the SA told me that I could not have the GWP because I was paying with my points and she was rather indimidating <sniff> and I didn't feel able to argue with her. Now, lots of friends of mine have managed to get the GWPs when paying with points so I don't understand why I couldn't. I'm a very loyal customer of Boots and I feel very sad that my shopping trip was ruined and disappointed in the way I was treated.
Boots CS - oh no MrsBB, that is just terrible. Please give me your name and address and I will post you a GWP to make up for your inconvenience and please accept these 2000 points as a humble token of my appreciation of the fact that you're such a loyal customer.

Well..... hopefully it will go something like that ;)
You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that :p

Can't really go to the store, as it wasn't my local and is miles away...as for CS - I never know how to put it :o

Mrebluebear, just explain it like it is.

Your 'friend' told you about a really lovely gwp that Lancome were doing when you bought 2 items.
You have been buying all your toiletries for the last couple of weeks from Boots to boost your points - because you couldn't really afford it being a student and all that.
You travelled out of your local area at considerable expense because your local doesn't stock Lancome and you didn't want to buy it a .................(because you wanted to use your points)
and .........you can't understand why the assistant wouldn't let you use your points when your 'friend' did exactly the same
Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves
