Hi
I have been expanding our range of games for our Wii from some of the offers around, (for when son, neices, nephews, etc. come round) some of which are the more "normal" type of games, and we have had Sonic Rings for a while, but I seem to find them awkward with the usual wii controllers. I have seem some controllers offered which say Gamecube/Wii controllers, do these fit the Wii OK and do they make this type of game easier? Don't want to waste money. Thanks. DG

If you look on the back of the game box, in the top right hand corner, there is usually a pictorial list of the controllers (and other accessories) that work with that particular game. Using that and the game instruction manual you should be able to figure out which controllers are easiest to use.
eg on Mario Kart steering with the Wii Wheel was a bit tricky, so I hooked up the nunchuck and its much easier.
So I'd check you have some games which support the controller you are looking at before buying. If you want ones which will be more like the traditional controller look for the Gamecube controller (which can now be bought very cheap second hand) or the Classic controller."We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have been doing so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing."

If you want a cheap controller, pop to a 2nd hand games shop and buy an old Gamecube controller - as the last poster said, they can be plugged into the side of the Wii.. they shouldn't cost much either second hand0
