Just moved back to UK....
I am getting my new house on Thursday and have been looking into which utilities to go with but with all the switch sites you need to know what your expenditure is, and I dont have any as yet and all previous bills are over 2 years old based on me as a single person but now it will be me, hubby and newborn come October. Can anyone tell me where to start please?
Thanks!
Thanks!

On the comparison sites, put in about £50 per month gas and about £50 on electric. This should be above average. Find the cheapest company then phone them up, tell them what sort of house you live in, how many people, then ask what they think the average monthly cost will be. Pay a little over this to cover any potential extra you use, then monitor your bills closely for the first month. Check if this is roughly right and then adjust your payments. Note - on gas you'll always be a bit in credit in warmer times, a bit in debit in cooler times.0
