price comparison site giving incorrect rates

I switched utility provider using a well known comparison site but when I received the welcome letter the rates for gas supply were more expensive than quoted on the site. The utility provider has apologised and offered a goodwill monetary gesture. However the comparison site has not responded to my e-mail requesting their comments. Has anyone else experienced price differences. I feel I have been duped into changing suppliers and will never be sure that comparison site information is trustworthy.
