need to buy a multi region dvd player. any suggestions ?

  • my pacific dvd1002mk2 from asda £29.97 plays everything i have tried except div-x.
    its multi regionable via a code- if anyone wants it pm me (the code not my dvd player)

    as mentioned above, it's very easy to hack your player using the supplied remote handset. there's a fairly comprehensive list of hacks HERE

    you'll be able to check the player you have in mind is hackable before buying & save yourself the possibility of a trip back to the shop :)
  • i visited the above link, there is a dvd player close to my model. mine is Proline DVd-1050. there is 1000 & 1100 but not 1050...sad isnt it ?
  • i was wondering if there was a way to make a DVD player play ALL the formats.i mean either by hacking it or some other way. as i may not be interested in multi region but a dvd player which plays dvd-+r / rw would be a must...

    any suggestions..thank you

    div-x players are quite expensive, but quite a few play dvd+r, -r etc

    the thing is i dont think i would even trust the specs of a dvd player before buying one the reason is i have a proline dvd player which does NOT support DVD+RW but it still plays...so whats that now..hehe
