Have floor to ceiling windows in my flat and I can tell its going to be boiling in the summer as its quite hot now. have had some samples but they are all qiute dark (it seems the mroe heat you want reflecting teh darker the film). Has anyone else had this fitted? Any advice greatfully recieved. I have done a search and nothing came up. Thanks and great website.

Yes, the film reflects both heat (infrared) and visible light about equally.

Very difficult to get a perfect result (when DIY) due to very small particles and motes getting trapped between the film and the glass. Water used should be filtered very thoroughly.
  • I used this site for 'frosting' of glass, and their products and process worked really well. The other poster is right - to get it perfect is hard, but the way in which this is applied and the kit it came with got us a really good 'professional' finish.

Although, the larger the windows, the harder it will be to apply.
