Applying for Virgin Credit card with a Sony one

I have a Sony MBNA credit card with a £8000 limit, and about £1600 on 0% purchases until middle of October. I would like to transfer that £1600 somewhere and I am thinking of applying for a Virgin MBNA card. What are the chances of me getting it? I was previously rejected for a Virgin card for some reason (I had the Sony one then as well).
Thanks for the advice.

You generally are allowed more than one MBNA card at one time as long as they are not "identical" accounts, by this I mean two Sony cards would not be acceptable whereas one Sony card and one straight MBNA card would be fine.
Note that you are not permitted to transfer balances directly between MBNA run cards, but you can get round this by transferring the funds to your bank account (Super Balance Transfer) and paying the other MBNA card off from there.0
