I have just looked at my scottish power bill online and in the top right hand corner it gives me the option to view my bill in pdf version.
When i click on the pdf version nothing happens is this a problem with my settings or with scottish power?
Thanks

To view pdf documents you need special software on your computer. The most common is Adobe Reader (formerly Acrobat) but most people recommend the free Foxit Reader (google it)
However what normally happens is when you click on the link to the document it gives you the opportunity to download a reader.

Have you tried opening from a different browser such as Firefox? Or rightclicking and 'Saving Target (or Link) As'?

Try firefox. Much better than IE, I think! You can always keep it just for SP or uninstall it if you don't want to keep it.

I saw something like this on another website the other night, I shut down IE restarted it and it worked, I think adobe updated a while ago I hope it's not going to be buggy

I had the same problem. Called the SP helpline and they were friendly but not much use. Mentioned about pop up blockers which I had done as this was the obvious cause but not in this case.

Fixed it in the end by adding spenergy URL that displays in the bill address bar to the trusted site list, under Tool, Options, Security, Trusted Sites.

Sorry but forum would not let me post the actual URL.
